Upper Mustang trek offers a breathtaking trekking involvement with the remote trans-Himalayan mountain district of Nepal. 

The 17-day trip starts in Kathmandu with voyages through UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa and many more. At that point we drive to Pokhara and fly to Jomsom the following day and start trekking. Upper Mustang is otherwise called the Last Forbidden Kingdom since it wasn’t until the 1990s that sightseers were permitted to enter the locale. While trekking in the Upper Mustang locale of Nepal, we can appreciate the uniqueness of tree-less scene, rough trails and perspectives on Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and different Himalayas.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Upon your arrival, a team member representing Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. In the evening, you will attend a welcome dinner, where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine that will introduce you to Nepal’s food culture, at the hotel hosted by Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure. You will stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

We will have a guided tour of several of the most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu, which are are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will be visiting Durbar Square, sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (also known as ‘Monkey Temple’) and Boudhanath, which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Afternoon, We will get our equipment checked at night by our leader, get and be introduced to our fellow trekkers and discuss our trip. We stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 3Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m/2689ft): 5-6 hours

We have our breakfast then leave for Pokhara, otherwise called The Lake City inferable from the huge number of lakes in the city. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, we are compensated with wonderful perspectives on the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,794ft), Manaslu (8,156m/26,759ft), Machhapuchhre (6,993m/22,943ft), the five pinnacles of Annapurna and others. We at that point registration to our inn and take a rest. We appreciate drifting in the Fewa Lake and walk around the city’s curious roads. We stay the night in Pokhara.

Day 4Fly to Jomsom (2,700m/8898ft) and trek to Kagbeni (2,810m/9,216ft): 3-4 hours trek

Today we will take an early morning trip to Jomsom which is celebrated for its apples, solid breezes and the scene. We start our trek on an open path nearby an excellent valley. We go through Eaklibatti town before coming to Jomsom which is unmistakably situated at the bank of two waterways. The town is lovely with level roofed houses and furthermore has vestiges of an old stronghold. We stay the night in Kagbeni.

Day 5Kagbeni to Chele (3,050m/10,004ft): 5-6 hours

We get our permits checked at that point start our trek on a path nearby the Kali Gandaki River. We stroll on sand in the midst of solid breezes before climbing on a slope. We arrive at the Tangbe Village and respect its tight back streets, white-washed houses, grain and buckwheat fields, and apple plantations. We proceed with our walk and pass another town and cross a stream on our way. Next, we stroll on an edge before coming to Chele Village. We stay the night in Chele.

Day 6Chele to Syanbochen (3,475m/11,398ft): 6-7 hours

Our trek from today will be somewhat hard contrasted with what we encountered previously. Our walk today includes crossing two passes, Taklam La pass (3,624m) and Dajori La pass (3,735). On our way, we appreciate incredible perspectives on Tilicho, Yakawa Kang and Damodar Danda and pass by Ramchung Cave. We plunge further and reach Samar Village. From here we stroll on a path over the town and arrive at an edge. Next, we slip on a lofty path to a stream and proceed with our trek to Syanboche. We stay the night in Syanboche.

Day 7Syanbochen to Ghami (3,520m/11,546ft): 5-6 hours

We rise to the Yamda La go at 3,850m. In transit, we pass by a couple of teahouses, chortens and wonderful towns. We trek through poplar woods and grain fields and reach Nyi Pass at 4,010m. From here, we dive to Ghami which is probably the greatest town in the Lo locale. The town is wonderful with fields encompassing the whole town. We stay the night in Ghami.

Day 8Ghami to Tsarang (3,620m/11,873ft): 5-6 hours

Our trek today starts with a drop through a harsh and regularly elusive path. We at that point traverse the Ghami Khola and start climbing. The pathway is excellent with mani dividers along the path. Next, we cross the Tsarang La Pass at 3870m and reach Tsarang town. The town lies on the Charang Chu gulch with an enormous post and a red gompa towards its east. We stay the night in Tsarang.

Day 9Tsarang to Lo-Manthang (3,730m/12,234ft): 3-4 hours

We start our trek by slipping to a gulch and cross a stream before starting our tough trek to Lo La pass which at 3950m. From the highest point of the pass we can respect the wonderful Lo Manthang town. From the pass we plummet to Lo Manthang which is an excellent walled town. From here the perspectives on the Himalayas including Nilgiri, Tilicho and Annapurna I, Bhrikuti Peak just as Damodar Kunda (lake) is very great. We stay the night in Lo-Manthang.

Day 10Explore Lo Manthang/Acclimatization

Lo Manthang is a walled town of the remote Upper Mustang region of Nepal. We go through the day visiting three significant gompas of the town in particular Jhampa, Thupchen and Chhoeda. These gompas have experienced master rebuilding in the course of the most recent two decades. We can likewise trek to Tingkhar which is a wonderful town found north-west of Lo-Mangthang. We stay the night in Lo Manthang.

Day 11Lo-Mangthang to Drakmar (3810 m/12,500ft): 6-7 hours

We trek on an alternate course while coming back from Lo-Manthang. Our path goes through Gyakar town which houses exceptionally old Ghar Gompa with delightful stone compositions. As indicated by a nearby legend, any individual who makes a desire at the Gompa will have it satisfied. We take a trip around the Gompa and proceed with our trek to Drakmar, where we stay the night.

Day 12Drakmar to Ghiling (3,806m/12,484ft): 5-6 hours

We start our trek right on time to maintain a strategic distance from solid breezes and plunge generally of the trek. Our path goes through a dry level and fields before coming to Ghiling. The walk can be generally troublesome as we are well on the way to encounter solid breezes all over. Ghiling is for the most part dry, however despite everything we get great perspectives on Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountains. We can visit the town around the night. We stay the night in Ghiling.

Day 13Ghiling to Chhuksang (3050m/10,004ft): 5-6 hours

We start our trek after breakfast. We stroll on a similar path as before going up to Lo Manthang. While in transit to Chhuksang we can appreciate incredible perspectives on the Himalayas and little towns we pass in transit. We stay the night in Chhuksang.

Day 14Chhuksang to Jomsom (2,700/8,856ft): 6-7 hours

Today is the last day of our trek and it is a long one. In the wake of trekking for some time, we reach a conclusion of our Mustang trails and join the path of the Annapurna circuit. We stop for lunch at Kagbeni. After lunch, we proceed with our trek to Jomsom, where we will stay the night.

Day 15Fly back to Pokhara

We take an early morning trip to Pokhara. The plane goes through a chasm among Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains making the flight itself a stunning encounter. In the wake of landing in Pokhara, we can spend the remainder of the day in relaxation. We stay the night in Pokhara.

Day 16Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the lovely northern horizon of Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu. This will be an adventure along stream saves money with awesome perspectives on terraced slopes and the rustic Nepalese way of life. Subsequent to arriving at Kathmandu, we take a rest or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate our accomplishments together and effective finish of our adventure, we will have a farewell dinner in the evening. We stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 17Final departure

Our journey and time together in Nepal comes to an end today! A representative from Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our flight.
