Tour Details

Manaslu is one of the tallest mountains of the world with a height of 8,156m/2,6759ft. Trekking around the Manaslu circuit offers a unique opportunity to experience a reasonably untouched region of Nepal. This region sees trekkers, which makes the visit here more exclusive. Manaslu trek, open for trekking since 1991 with the spectacular beauty of nature along the border of Nepal and Tibet, is now a controlled trekking route, allowing organized trekking group’s special permits to gain entry into this region to venture around it.

Manaslu meaning the spirit in Sanskrit is one of the best treks in Nepal. Manaslu has a wonderful environment, which is especially rich in biodiversity that has made this region one of the greatest tourist destinations of Nepal for many years. The splendid view of Himalayan ranges consists of cultural diversities and natural scenery with an experience of high altitude romantic glacier lakes and fascinating flora and fauna. The breaking beautiful Larkaya La Pass(5,106 m) which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic pass crossing the Himalayas, a mix of Gurung and Tibetan traditional villages and its beautiful Tibetan Buddhist monasteries(Gompas). The scenery provides most of what Nepal has to offer, you’ll trek from the subtropical jungle at lower elevations, through the Himalayan foothills to the high, cold and challenging crossing of the Larkaya La above 5,100 meters/17,000 feet. As all Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure’s itineraries, this trek also ensures adequate time for proper acclimatization.

All landscapes of this region, have made it one of the most attractive places of Nepal. The Manaslu trekking route is less crowded and provides facilities to all the trekkers. The trekkers also get to eat both the local and regular food and accommodate in the most rudimentary spaces which in them insight into the local village life of Nepal. This is also one of the reasons that make trekking in this area pristine and worthwhile. It is important to note that trekking at altitudes above 3000 m/ 10,000 ft. is more demanding on the body than walking at low elevations thou this trek slowly increases its altitudes. With its remoteness and secluded solidarity, it is believed to be in stark contrast to trekking in the Annapurna region making ‘Around Manaslu Trek’ the first choice for those who prefer to become one with nature and fall deep in its beauty.

Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges including Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo and possibly Kang Guru behind the pass. On our journey to these viewpoints we pass many seasonal herding settlements called doksas and gaze our eyes on some beautiful mountain birds like the Lophophorus.
