Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek is an excellent trek in Nepal through lavish woods, interesting towns, bottomless natural life and astonishing perspectives on the magnificent Himalayas. 

The 17-day trek starts in Kathmandu with journeys through the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and much more. After that, we drive to Syabrubesi which is a Tamang town situated on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River and start our trek. We reach Kyanjin Gompa and afterward climb Tserko Ri the following day. From that point we get gigantic view on the Langtang Lirung (7,200m/23,622ft) territory. Following, we keep on trekking in the beautiful Langtang Valley and reach Gosaikunda. Gosainkunda is a worshipped spot of journey for both Buddhists and Hindus. Additionally, the spot is named after the flickering Gosaikunda Lake whose water is accepted to have mysterious recuperating powers. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Upon your arrival, a team member representing Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. In the evening, you will attend a welcome dinner, where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine that will introduce you to Nepal’s food culture, at the hotel hosted by Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure. You will stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

We will have a guided tour of several of the most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu, which are are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will be visiting Durbar Square, sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (also known as ‘Monkey Temple’) and Boudhanath, which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Afternoon, We will get our equipment checked at night by our leader, get and be introduced to our fellow trekkers and discuss our trip. We stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 3Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 8-9 hours

We will begin our drive from the capital, Kathmandu, to Syabrubesi village early in the morning. The village will be the starting point of our trek. The drive will be pleasant with outstanding views of the green hills, Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Mountains on our way. Do note that the view of the mountains are only visible clearly on a clear day. Our drive continues until reaching the village of Syabrubesi, where we will be staying the night.

Day 4Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,830ft): 6 hours

After breakfast, we start our trek to Syabrubesi along the Langtang Khola. We rise and slip at the same time through oak and rhododendron woods. In the wake of traverse the Langtang Khola (little waterway), we rise on a precarious path which will lead us to the Lama Hotel. We stay the night in Lama Hotel.

Day 5Trek to Mundu (3543m/11,621ft) via Langtang village: 6-7 hours

We keep rising from Lama Hotel and appreciate the mountain scene with plentiful cascades. As we arrive at the green knolls of Ghoda Tabela, we start to see the white pinnacles of the Langtang extend. Our path keeps on moving up the extending valley, passing a couple of brief settlements utilized by herders. We pass a Buddhist religious community before arriving at the Langtang town which was influenced by the April 2015 quake. We proceed on our path to Mundu. We stay the night in Mundu.

Day 6Mundu to Kyangjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft): 4-5 hours

After breakfast, we will begin our adventure to Kyangjin Gompa, a vital religious community of the area. We pass by water factories, supplication wheels, chortens, with holy hills of rocks with engravings cut on them. We additionally pass by the biggest mani divider in Nepal, produced using stone with supplications composed on them. Day 7Acclimatization: Explore Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) 7-8 hours

Day 8Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours

We start our trek after breakfast and remember our steps back to Lama Hotel. A large portion of the trekking today will be downhill as we go through backwoods and lovely Tamang towns. We additionally get the chance to appreciate distinctive perspective on the Himalayas that we had missed scaling. We stay the night at Lama Hotel.

Day 9Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230m/ 7,316 ft): 5-6 hours

We start our trek with a move up to the Rimche Village. From here we go down to the banks of the Langtang Khola. We proceed on a simple path to Bamboo and start rising to Landslide Lodge. From here we proceed with our trek to Thulo Syabru. There are two path as we cross another scaffold. We pursue the one that passes by Pahare lodging and a cascade at 2210 m to reach Thulo Syabru. We stay the night in Thulo Syabru.

Day 10Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa: 3-4 hours

Day 14Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang (2,590m/8,497ft): 5-6 hours

We pass a stupa and cross a little stream underneath Tarkeghyang. Our path goes through woods that lead up to Ama Yangri which is the most elevated purpose of our trek today situated at 3,800m. There is a stupa and Buddhist supplication banners at the highest point of the slope. Moreover, we get a spectacular view of Mt. Shishapangma and the Langtang ranges. The mountains are near the point that we feel that we can nearly contact them. As we plunge we can frequently observe yaks touching in the hedges before entering a woodland. Day 15Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563ft): 3-5 hours

We trek through knolls, fields and delightful towns to reach Melamchi Bazaar. From here we drive to Kathmandu and play our outing in the Langtang and Helambu districts on our minds. Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, we can choose to rest back at our hotel or take a stroll around the capital. Thamel is a popular tourist hub of Nepal for souvenir shopping or just enjoying the streets. A farewell dinner will be hosted by Unleash Nepal Treks and Adventure to celebrate our accomplishments together. We stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 17Final departure

Our journey and time together in Nepal comes to an end today! A representative from Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our flight.
