Our Lower Dolpo Trek experience starts with tours through UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Upon your arrival, a team member representing Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. In the evening, you will attend a welcome dinner, where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine that will introduce you to Nepal’s food culture, at the hotel hosted by Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure. You will stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 2Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

We will have a guided tour of several of the most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu, which are are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will be visiting Durbar Square, sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath (also known as ‘Monkey Temple’) and Boudhanath, which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Afternoon, We will get our equipment checked at night by our leader, get and be introduced to our fellow trekkers and discuss our trip. We stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 3Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj: 1 hour

After our short trip in Kathmandu, we take 60 minutes long flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, situated in Western Nepal. Nepalgunj, a town close to the Nepal-India fringe, is additionally the entryway to Simikot, Humla. The town itself is a fascinating Terai town that features different cultures of Nepal. Day 5Dunai to Tarakot (2,543m/8,341ft): 5-6 hours

Day 12Cross Baga La pass (5,070m/16,630ft), trek to Dajok Tang (4,080m/13,382ft): 6 hours

Our journey and time together in Nepal comes to an end today! A representative from Unleash Nepal Treks & Adventure will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our flight.
